Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) is a leguminous crop grown across Pakistan's Punjab and Sindh provinces. Pakistan is among the top three global guar producers (after India). Two primary commercial products from guar:

• Guar seeds (HS 1207.99) — whole seeds for animal feed and seed-multiplication.
• Guar gum (HS 1302.32) — galactomannan extracted from guar endosperm; used as thickener/stabilizer in food, oilfield drilling fluids, textile sizing, paper, mining flotation, pharmaceutical formulations.

Demand drivers vary by region and end-use. Oilfield-grade guar (drilling fluid additive) is the largest commercial volume globally; food-grade and pharma-grade have smaller volumes but higher per-kg pricing.
