Frequently asked
What rose varieties do you ship?
Three primary varieties: (1) Rosa damascena (Damascus rose) — premium attar/perfumery grade, deep pink color, high oil content; (2) Rosa centifolia (cabbage rose) — for absolute oil and fragrance industry; (3) Rosa indica (Indian rose) — for tea blends, gulkand, and incense. All wild-grown or farm-grown in the Pattoki/Kasur belt of Punjab.
Where does your rose come from?
Pattoki and Kasur districts of Punjab — Pakistan's traditional rose belt with 200+ years of cultivation. Pattoki is regionally known as 'the city of flowers'; Kasur is famous for traditional attar production. Roses are dawn-harvested (peak essential-oil concentration) Nov-Feb (Damascena) and Mar-May (Centifolia + Indica). Hand-picked, sun-dried in clean racks, then graded at our Hyderabad facility.
What forms do you ship?
Seven distinct forms (each with its own page): (1) Whole dried buds — closed-bud premium for perfumery; (2) Loose petals red/pink — for tea, gulkand, decor; (3) Whole rose flowers — open-flower retail; (4) Rose powder — cosmetic + culinary; (5) Rose tea grade — food-grade for tea blenders; (6) Rose water — distilled, food + cosmetic grade; (7) Rose leaves — for incense and traditional medicine.
What are typical specifications?
Moisture ≤ 10%, color retention: vibrant pink/red (varies by variety), insect damage: nil, foreign matter ≤ 2%, essential oil content (varies by variety): Damascena 0.03-0.05% by weight in fresh petals (much lower in dried form). Lab COA per shipment; heavy metals tested for cosmetic-grade applications.
Who buys rose products from you?
Tea blenders (premium herbal tea retail), cosmetic raw material importers (skincare, hair care, perfumery), perfumery industry (attar, absolute oil, rose water), gulkand manufacturers (sweet rose preserve — large category in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, GCC South Asian diaspora), incense manufacturers (traditional incense + agarbatti), food industry (rose-flavored confectionery, syrups, baklava additions), traditional medicine (Unani + Ayurvedic formulations).
How is your rose different from competitors like Harmain Global?
We compete on documentation depth and lab data. Our rose ships with: per-shipment lab COA (color retention, moisture, microbial, heavy metals), variety attestation (Damascena/Centifolia/Indica explicitly identified), dawn-harvest premium grade (for highest-essential-oil-content buyers), cosmetic-grade documentation (ISO 22716 for skincare-bound shipments), and traceability to Pattoki/Kasur farm origin. Many competitors ship undifferentiated 'Pakistani rose petals' without these documentation tiers.
Is your rose organic certified?
Pattoki/Kasur belt has both wild-growth and farm-cultivated rose. Wild-growth is structurally organic (no synthetic inputs); farm-cultivated is conventional. We do not currently hold standing USDA Organic or EU Organic certification but can coordinate per-shipment certification via partner certifier (~USD 1,500-2,500 + 14-28 days).
What is the MOQ?
Whole buds + petals: 500 kg MOQ. Rose powder: 200 kg MOQ. Rose water: 1 MT MOQ. Dried rose products are lower-density; standard FCL is 6-10 MT for buds (light), 8-12 MT for petals, 14-18 MT for powder, 20-22 MT for rose water in bulk drums.
How long does it take to ship samples?
100g sample of any 1-2 forms ships within 48 hours of PI confirmation. DHL/FedEx to your office, courier paid by buyer (~USD 35-80 depending on destination). Sample comes with batch COA and 7-day quote validity. Multiple variety samples (Damascena + Centifolia + Indica side-by-side) take 3-5 days because we coordinate from different harvest batches.
Do you supply rose for gulkand manufacturing?
Yes — gulkand-grade petals are a separate SKU. Specifically Rosa indica or Rosa damascena petals harvested for sugar-preserving (gulkand). Buyers in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, UAE/Saudi/Kuwait South Asian diaspora retail use Pakistani rose petals for gulkand production. Standard packaging: 25kg PP woven bag with food-grade liner.
Do you do rose distillation (essential oil + rose water)?
Through partner distillers we coordinate steam-distilled rose essential oil and rose water. Rose oil is extremely concentrated — 1 kg of oil requires ~3,000-5,000 kg of fresh petals — and commercially priced at USD 4,500-9,000/kg depending on variety and quality. Rose water (hydrosol) is a byproduct of distillation, much more accessible at USD 8-18/L. Lab COA covers oil composition and microbial.
What's the typical buyer journey for rose?
1) RFQ specifying variety (Damascena/Centifolia/Indica), form (buds/petals/powder/water), quantity, destination. 2) PI within 24 hours. 3) Sample ships DHL within 48 hours. 4) PO confirmation + 30% TT. 5) Production + variety-grading + bagging. 6) Lab COA + variety attestation issued before BL. 7) Vessel transit. 8) Customs clearance + delivery.
